Weekend Wedding Itinerary
Friday 8th August 2025 – Welcome Buffet
From 6:30pm – 11pm
The Medieval Hall, Askham Hall
Join us for relaxed vibes, a few drinks, and a buffet to kick off the celebrations. It’s an informal evening for anyone arriving early and keen to enjoy the weekend with us!
Saturday 9th August 2025 – The Big Day
Guests arrive from 1:30pm
Ceremony at 2:30pm
End of celebrations at 1am
Our ceremony begins at 2:30pm, but we’d love to welcome you from 1:30pm to enjoy the surroundings.
A little note on footwear: the venue has cobbles, flagstones, and formal lawns, so stilettos reserved for strong ankles only.
Weather permitting, we’ll be tying the knot outdoors.
Sunday 10th August 2025 – A Gentle Walk
11:30am
Lowther Castle & Gardens Car Park
For anyone still around and feeling fresh, we’re planning a gentle walk to stretch our legs and soak up the scenery. No pressure at all if you need a lie-in or have a journey ahead—we completely understand!
Accommodation
The wedding will take place at Askham Hall. There are many places to stay in the local area but as the Lakes are a popular summer destination, we would recommend booking early. Penrith is the closest town and has plenty of hotels and B&Bs to suit.

Parking
Parking is available at Askham Hall. When you enter the Hall grounds please drive to the left and park next to the old barn.
You are welcome to leave your car at Askham Hall throughout the duration of the weekend.
Taxis
Unfortunately, Uber isn’t available in this rural area, so we recommend using local taxi companies instead. To avoid disappointment, we suggest booking your taxi at least a week in advance.
